Even though the Stormlaunchers were a bit finicky, I liked them. Now, Air Hogs (Spinmaster.com) does it again and introduces the first micro helicopter with a self contained, remotely operated video camera. This tiny flying machine with counter rotating blades and a unique stabilizer system can take 5 minutes of 240 x 320 videos or hundreds of 480 x 640 still pictures. I know this is not the highest quality camera for sure, but for the budding aerial videographer, this is a cool tool. Like any camera, the less you shake the better the pics. The same goes for this heli. It will teach you to be a smoother pilot to get the smooth pictures. It can be used as a remote controlled camera without flying it also. Since there is no cyclic steering, this "Elevator Helicopter" is best launched and recovered by hand. The unique trim knob rotates endlessly and does a fine job of trimming the bird and it stays there when you shut it off! It likes to spin on take off and landing, since a slight amount of forward flight is built in, but like any new flying machine, it will take a few flights of practice to get the feel of it. It comes with a USB cord, that plugs into the transmitter. The helicopter plugs into the transmitter and gets charged at the same time as you download pictures or video. About 20 minutes of USB charging gets you about 4-5 minutes of flying, depending on camera usage. This is a good platform for teaching airborne video basics, heli flying, and creativity. This is the Longest G Scale Train on YouTube! This incredible 152 car train is being pulled by (1) single USA Trains Big Boy locomotive. On the third segment of this video, we swapped out the (1) USA Trains Big Boy for (6) Aristo-Craft Dash 9's. (2) Dash 9's probably could have pulled the train, but (6) locomotives looks much more impressive. Every car in this train has had the plastic wheels changed out to metal rolling bearing wheels and axles. And the funky LGB couplers were changed out to body mounted Kadee couplers. These (2) items alone almost doubled the wieght of each car. Had we kept the plastic wheels and LGB couplers on each car, it would have been alot easier to pull the 152 cars. But it would have been a lot more unrealistic too! Both the Big Boy and the Dash 9's are being powered by online batteries and they are being remote controled using AirWire. AirWire is the greatest remote controlled software out there. It does so many things! We feel the Big Boy could have pulled more than the 152 cars you see here, but some of the couplers kept failing. The preasure of 406 pounds on the first 20 cars is tremendous! It took us (9) takes just to get these (3) video segments because of the coupler problems. If we could solve the coupler problem, I really think the Big Boy could be pulling close to 200 cars all by itself! So we will work on that for a future pull. Classic Game Room HD reviews the Nintendo Wii CLASSIC CONTROLLER PRO video game controller accessory. The Nintendo Wii Classic Controller Pro is a reworking of the original Wii Classic Controller with more of a PS2 controller feel. In fact, held up to a standard Playstation 2 controller you'll see that they look remarkably similar. Both have hand grippy things, dual analog sticks and four buttons that are easily pressable on the front of the controller. The older Classic Controller has more of an SNES gamepad feel while the new one is slightly larger (because of the handles) and more comfortable in CGR's opinion. This controller is perfect for games like Capcom's Monster Hunter Tri and old school arcade shooters like Dead Moon and Biohazard Battle.
